Write: prayers to you, my friend

Recently, I shared a certain post on Facebook and it garnered a few responses from my friends. The post was about the future and it may be that we will lose someone we talk to, and distance may be in the way for relationships to happen. It talked about how certain things such as our favorite band and tv shows at a point of time will be irrelevant in the future, and that makes me sad. It makes me sad because I am the type of person who clings on to the people I know. I don't make a lot of friends but when I do, I want to keep them.

But distance did change a bit of that.

To you:

The high school friends that I only said hi to in classes and in the hallways, I haven't forgotten you. The teachers that I looked up to and forever grateful to the knowledge that they passed on to me, I can only repay you by doing good and uphold the honor of being your student. And most and foremost, my little cliques of friends that I cherish and love, you guys are in my prayers. We don't talk often because life, is at it is. We are leading very different schedules and things are turning out to be this way but that's okay. We don't catch up often but we understand why. We don't hold grudges because we are adults. That is more than I could ever ask for.

You are in my prayers. For you to be in optimum health, happiness and success. To always be grateful for what you have and to always be mindful of what you say. To always be happy, always, and to remember to love the people around you.

And I hope, you remember me in your prayers too.
